Volunteer with the Friends of Kingstowne Library
Our primary source of fundraising is the sale of used books. Volunteers support this mission in the following ways:
Weekly book sorting – Sort donations, price items, and stock books on the ongoing sale shelves located near the 2nd floor garage entrance. This role requires a 1.5-hour weekly commitment.
Special Saturday book sales – Assist with setup, sales, and cleanup at periodic book sale events.
Online book sales – Help manage and fulfill sales through our online platforms.
Communications and design – Support our social media presence, website maintenance, or graphic design needs.
Board of Directors – Serve in a leadership capacity to help guide the organization.
Summer 2026 Update
Weekly book sorting shifts are currently full. However, we will be looking for volunteers for our September 12, 2026 book sale. To be notified when volunteer opportunities open, please fill out the form below.

The next Friends meeting is Tuesday, July 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the library. All prospective volunteers are encouraged to attend. It's a great opportunity for us to learn about your availability and skills so we can find the best fit for you.
